Announcement - It's over.
Hi everyone, Our experiment with Skool has come to an end. Unfortunately, we’re currently too busy to contribute to the community as we’d like. The page will soon be archived, but for those who want to keep following for tips, you can connect with us on: - LinkedIn - YouTube - Podcast Not all experiments work out, but we’re glad we tried. For anyone interested in training, we will offer limited corporate training through the sales consultancy. Please note that there will be no one-on-one sessions or events unless we see significant demand, which seems unlikely at this time. Keep fighting the good fight, and be good to yourself. Best, Zac x

Discovery call No Show, Where did I mess up?
I managed to get someone who had the problem I could fix, then procced to set the frame for the next call and book it into the calendar and asked "if their was any reason why he wouldn't be able to make it" he said "no" Come today he didn't show up. Now I am wondering where I messed up did I mess up on the cold calls or is it the lack of follow ups leading the call? I am not sure what I did wrong. Any advice? Also do I give him a follow up call, if so how long do I wait?

Prospects lie unfortunately- so even asking isn’t always going to trigger their truth to come out - but a couple of things you can try 1. Def call back tomorrow, preferably before they start work 830am is a good time as unlikely to be in work or in meetings so better chance to catch them - ask them what happened 2. Next time try and get invite accepted whilst on the phone 3. Ask them what you should do if they don’t show up (after you’ve confirmed they will) 4. Once someone is 5 mins late ping them on email resending the meeting link to do it softly, if after 8 mins no word call, if after 10 mins leave meeting and send email saying something like guessing something came up I’ll reschedule 5. Edit your calendar invite and send it for same time next week - make it as easy as possible for them to accept 6. Shit happens as Zac says barring an act of God 7. Put into a nurture sequence if you have one otherwise make a note to call back in two weeks and start the cycle again
Cold call script feedback
Can i get some feedback on my cold call script. Business in your industry come to us as for their services because of 3 reasons 1. Few companies have a complete package of Essential 8 compliance, cybersecurity, and cyber insurance from one provider. 2. Many cybersecurity services are generic and don’t cater to scaling businesses. 3. Threat detection is common, but proactive, continuous threat management is lacking such as phishing training for staff. I've got a feeling you're going to say that you've already got an IT partner and everything is perfect?

Ok let’s start at the top what do business owners care about when it comes to it security (my guess not a lot) so what will they care about - business continuing to run, not losing critical/financial data not being in breach of any security legislation and not being fined So I’d go with you something like (and I’m making this up I have no real idea) Look mr business owner, like many other people like you cyber security isn’t a priority until it is I get it, as long as nothing goes wrong not top of mind but how confident are you that tomorrow morning your not staring down the barrrl of a security breach, customer financial data compromised, your computers smushed because of a virus or worse yet the government breathing down your neck wanting to fine you millions for not following legislation- are you completely confident your existing setups not going to let you down?

Try not to use it word for word because it needs to be comfortable for you to say but put yourself in their shoes and what are they thinking about as they lay in bed unable to doze off - it’s def not is my cyber security insurance up to date (or whatever)
