Sleep Help
I went total carnivore for about two weeks now (previously doing fruit and meat), and I am seeing a lot of the benefits: stronger mental clarity, a bunch of energy, stable moods, productivity, skin glowing But, I am not getting the sleep I used to, which I know will be an issue in the long run. I think I get plenty of salt. I also drink plenty of water (my urine is usually clear to light yellow). I eat a small breakfast and early dinner (done by 4:30 p.m.), and I'm in bed by 10 p.m. I have been eating 80/20 ground beef (1lb), salmon burger (.5 lbs), organ meats (.25 lbs), total carnivore steak shake (1 scoop), 2 cups of lactide milk, 3-4 eggs, and 1 cup of bone broth. I know that I have enough food because I gained muscle since changing my diet. It takes me 30-45 mins to fall asleep, and I wake up 2-3 throughout the night, awake by 5:30 am. Am I still adjusting? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Are there any cheap ways to get all your fat in?
Lately, my appetite has massively decreased. Not sure why, but it's usually because I don't have enough fat. So to increase my fat, I could stuff my face with butter, but I feel like that would just be disgusting. My other option is beef tallow. But i's too expensive. So any ideas? Thanks

@Tiernan O Toole A 1:1 ratio is considered high in fat. Most people following a carnivore diet aim for a 1:2 or 1:3 fat-to-protein ratio. Based on these numbers, you may want to increase your protein intake.A good starting point is consuming at least 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight daily. For example, at 185 pounds, I aim to consume 185 grams of protein per day.

@Tiernan O Toole Sorry I actually misspoke. It is 1:1 - 1:3 protein to fat ratio. Not fat to protein ratio. Maybe you are thinking calories since 1 gram of fat is 9 calories compared to 1 gram of protein is 4 calories. At the end of the day, you should let your gut and how you feel dictate what ratio you should be doing. Fro my clients, who are generaly athletes / people who are fairly active. They do well with something around 1:2 protein to fat ratio.
Prioritize protein
In my quest to stay within my calories, I’m falling short of my protein macros I know you’re supposed to prioritize protein however, if I do, it would put me over my calories. Not sure what to do because I do not wanna lose any muscle mass whatsoever, so I’m still a bit Confused as to which way I wanna go

Yeah, what I found for myself and my clients when helping them lose weight or build muscle is that protein is king. I usually have them aim for at least a gram of protein per pound of bodyweight. For me, I weigh 185 lbs, so I aim for 185 grams of protein per day. I just saw a YouTube video about Eddie Hall (the former world's strongest man). He eats about over 2 grams per day and is still losing weight. Everyone is different, so it's always a good idea to experiment with your diet and see what works and what makes you feel the best.
