chat widget?? <-
im taking a quick break but I have to ask just in pure curiosity and feature building - is the chat widget in super demand? Why so with options available - what do they lack? Is this for support, sales, or general chat/faq? do you need something robust / flashy (like intercom - and if so why not intercom)? or just simply does its job (aka chatting with a widget w/ proper functions)? super curious to hear more on this

@Jorden Williams multiple reasons, 1. we are spoilt brats and just want everything. 2. probably something like a foot in the door offer , 3. it's something tangible people have for their website so it looks like they got an upgrade. it's also the perception that when they bought a marketing or system service it works because the feedback cycle is fairly quick and trackable. compared to a static form where you have to reach out to that lead or set up some kind of automation. whereas in a live chat the conversation can just continue smoothly. 4. you dug this grave yourself šŸ˜‹, by teasing features, now that we have that carrot dangling in front of us we want it, but we can't seem to get a bite of it

@Alexandre Deschamps Im trying to figure out the flow for that. Can you expand a little more on how you accomplish that. are you using call masking, TaskRouter, TwiML, Flows? to get that setup. Thanks
GHL have thier own Chat Widget, do we turn this off to use Assistable?
I am not sure the relationship between the GHL Chat widget and Assistable. I assume we have to turn on the GHL Chat widget for it to work on the site, and i have set up a workflow to start the assistable AI from a resonse from the chat, but what stops the GHL chat widget trying to respond?

the standard response for chat widget when you send an initial message will always be there. there is no option to turn it off as far as I know

@Adam Dobson yeah for now the live chat widget feature is a pain in the ass to use. So until assistable comes out with it. I would just avoid using it. Sell it as an upcoming feature or set up the SMS widget instead
How To Get VoiceBot To ONLY Answer afterhours calls?
Can't seem to find a way to set this up so the voice Ai ONLY answers calls after 5pm, for example, to be used as an after hours receptionist. Is there a way to do this? I can't seem to find a way. @Jason Dueck any idea?

look at the comments and this post. if you have human staff on standby answering the phone then the Ai wont pick up. but if your staff does not pickup. ie after hours the ai will pick it up
