Recommendations for a beginner
How did you start your training routine and how did you manage to keep going despite schedule etc?

Start simple, don't think of doing something too crazy - Eg. Don't overpromise yourself like "im gonna train 2 hours a day for 7 days a week" Make it sustainable, something realistic and suitable for your schedule. Even a 30mins a day training program will work better than throwing in 2 hour sessions that you can't stay consistent with. Stick to simple pull ups and pushups rather than trying to copy advanced complex programs that balances calisthenics with gym with cardio training etc etc. Always start small and increase the volume and intensity when you see the opportunity for it
Why did you start training Calisthenics?
Everyone has a different reason for starting calisthenics. Mines really simple actually, I was inspired by a senior back in school who was hitting MUs and handstands without breaking a sweat, and I simply wanted to be able to do it as well, just cause I thought it looked pretty sick 😂 What’s YOUR reason?

I'm 17 years old, I've been training calisthenics for 6-7 months. I do like 10 pull ups, 15dips and 27 pushups.

That’s some pretty sick stats at your age man! Have you started training for the Muscle up? Or still building on your base strength?
Squat Strength Standards (Weight to BW)
What are your strength standards for Wt. Squats? What weight to BW ratio makes you a Beginner, an Intermediate or an Advanced athlete? For example, my max squat is 80kg while I weigh 70kg. 1.14x BW (probably noob level) What I saw online was - Beginner - 0.75x BW Novice - 1.25x BW Intermediate- 1.5x BW Advanced - 2.25x BW

Name: Sunny Age: Almost 15 Goal: Improving on all aspects of callisthenics: Pullups (10 clean), explosive pushups (30), dips (20), and beginner skill work (handstand) Additional goal: Being more athletic - although I greatly value aesthetics, performance is more important in my eyes. If aesthetics were as important as a 9/10, performance would be a 10/10 (not much diff). I look forward to growing with this community!
