Found some old woodworking chisels in the workshop. Rusty, chipped. Decide to do some restoration. Never done it before. But so far so good. Used white vinegar to remove the rust i let my sit about 8-9 hours. Now I'm set up with my new sharpening kit. Also using an angle hold jig thingy. As I said I'm new haha. Got 2 done so far and happy with the results considering the starting point. I'm using water on my stones for the metal chips. Anyone recommend something else? Or does it not matter as long as it unclogs the pores?

Relatively new to woodworking, been a huge interest of mine for years. My grandfather did it and my late father had a whole workshop with almost all the tools needed. Decided after losing my career as a Machinist due to health reasons that I'd take the opportunity to use what my father had left me and the time I now had to take it up myself and hopefully create a living off doing what I've always wanted to do.
