I’m taking serious action on learning about improving yourself as a coach.
Speaking skills, communication strategies, analytical skills, charisma, personal branding…
This will be a series of posts, where I teach you what I have learnt:
The correct way to approach someone you want to coach:
Be 100% authentic when approaching. If you fake it, they will not fit with your coaching.
Let them understand the context and purpose immediately.
Imagine walking up to someone in a grocery store and start talking to them about life.
They would be totally confused.
Let them know how awesome you and your solutions are, and why they need you.
Let them know, that you want to know if they would fit your solution.
Set the frame of you wanting to get them as a client, and stick to that frame.
The frame is how you see things, and therefore act. The frame for a business meeting would be very serious.
You want to sell them. Act like it, don’t fake it.
When they throw objections at you, you hold frame and keep moving forward.
Most importantly:
Hook them.
Just like with content.
You want to get their attention by hooking them.
Talk about their interests.
You will be playing battleships here.
Shoot and hope for the best.
Once you hit their fleet and they are hooked.
Sell them.
Hope this helps!
