3 Quotes 1. James Clear “Do the most important thing first each day.” 2. Mike Matthew’s “Do the most important things, mostly right, most of the time.” 3. Peter Drucker “There is surely nothing quite so useless as doing with great efficiency what should not be done at all.” 2 Stories 1. Two brothers grew up farming together. When their dad passed, they each wanted to feel like they were providing for their own family. They split the farm down the middle trying to make it as equal as possible. The older brother would get up in the morning, feed the animals, water the field, and pull weeds. The younger would research the best methods to produce high yields, negotiate with buyers for better prices, and shop for new equipment, then get out around noon and often found himself running out of daylight before he got all his work done. After years of struggling and getting less and less done, the younger brother ask his elder what he could do to save his farm. The older brother’s response. “Wake up, feed the animals, and water your crops. There is nothing more important on the farm, so there is nothing that should be done before that.” 2. A man was teaching us children with two empty jars one day. He also has a bag of Sand, a cup of pebbles, and several large rocks. He poured the sand into one of the jars and challenged his children to put the large rocks inside. Not all would fit. He then out the large rocks in the other jar, poured the pebbles in with them and finally added the sand from the other jar as well. Astonished that everything fit in one jar the children asked how he had done it. He explained that as with life, if you prioritize the largest and most important parts you will still have space for other things. 1 Challenge Share what the most important uses of your time and energy are this week.

3 quotes 1. Thomas S Monson "When performance is measured, performance improves. When performance is measured and reported, the rate of improvement accelerates." 2. Bob Proctor "Accountability is the glue that ties commitment to results." 3. Hal Elrod "The moment you take 100 percent responsibility for everything in your life is the same moment you claim your power to change anything in your life" 2 Stories 1. When I was 20 I set a dozen goals for myself to achieve in the following 5 years. I achieved all but one of them within a year. Last year I set 3 goals for myself to achieve this year. The year is not over, but I am not on track to achieve any of them. What was the difference? When I was 20 I asked several people to follow up with me at different intervals. I asked someone to check in every year, a couple of people to check in every month, a few people to check in weekly and I talked with my mom and my wife about them daily. This year, I wrote them in a journal and never looked at it again. When I tell people about my goals I work toward them with a different level of intentionality. That's a lot of the reason for this group. 2. In 1985, Jim Carrey wrote himself a $10 million check. He dated it 10 years in the future for “acting services rendered.”Carrey was 23 years old then. A fledgling actor struggling to find work. He carried the check in his wallet everywhere he went. If acting didn’t work out, he was likely headed for a Canadian steel mill. But it did.10 years after writing that check, Carrey was a star. Ace Ventura, The Mask, and Dumb and Dumber had changed his life. 1 Challenge 1. Post in the goals and accountability category 1-4 goals you have currently. Include a measurable result and when you want to accomplish it. Eric Anderson Bearded G.O.A.T.

3 Quotes 1. Coretta Scott King “The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.” 2. Alex Hormozi "It takes only 20 hours of focused effort to become decent at almost anything, but most people spend years delaying the first hour." 3. Oprah Winfrey “We can’t become what we need to be by remaining what we are.” 2 Stories 1. I have been a part of a few communities over the past year that have all expressed the purpose of growth in their members. In that time I have seen a few common themes: There is one person working really hard to keep the group growing. They add more and more "features" until members are overwhelmed or feel like they are not cotributing enough. They don't devote enough effort to a culture where members gain the most value from each other. Those are the things I am hoping to tackle with G.O.A.T. FARM. Each time you log in, I hope you strive to give value to another member. In that effort is where you will find the most growth. 2. One day in 1671, Christopher Wren observed three bricklayers on a scaffold, one crouched, one half-standing and one standing tall, working very hard and fast. To the first bricklayer, Christopher Wren asked the question, “What are you doing?” to which the bricklayer replied, “I’m a bricklayer. I’m working hard laying bricks to feed my family.” The second bricklayer, responded, “I’m a builder. I’m building a wall.” But the third brick layer, the most productive of the three and the future leader of the group, when asked the question, “What are you doing?” replied with a gleam in his eye, “I’m a cathedral builder. I’m building a great cathedral to The Almighty.” 1 Challenge In the community, comment on 3 other G.O.A.T.s introduction posts. (If you haven't introduced yourself yet, there is still time.) Thanks for an amazing week! Lets continue to grow together. P.S. The group will only be free until midnight tonight (Friday). Anyone who joins before then will be free for life. If you know someone who needs us, or if we need them, send them the link to the community now! https://www.skool.com/goatfarm/about
