12 Footwork Drills For Beginners
I am so sorry for the absence the past couple of weeks fam. Here is a quick summary of what your boy has been up to the past two weeks. My partner and I are expecting our first child, so been running back and forth haha We've also recently bought a new home, which we have finally settled into. I don't know about you guys, but I hate moving more than training legs haha My office is all set up now, and we are back on! To express how sorry I am for going "where's Wally" on you guys. Here is a video of the Fundamentals Class we ran with our members. We focused on drills that help their footwork and explained why and when to use them. We are big believers in teaching "Why" & "When"... It helps members understand the "How" much easier. Please note. These drills are in sequential order. So, if you are going to use them for your class or your clients, try keeping them in the order they were recorded. It's a progressional session—teaching skills in bite-size drills. At the end of the video, we tie it all together with a reactive drill. Enjoy!

OUR STORY & WHY WE STARTED THIS ACADEMY
1st session with new 1-on-1
My first session with my new client went great. I started with some footwork drills, went into heavy bag training, and then mitt training. Half hour flew by and she loved it. Can’t wait to start adding and mixing more from here into it

Snippet of our flow class
Here’s the breakdown of what we worked on today in our flow class: One of the key skills we've been teaching our members is the lead hand frame. We focused on that a lot during our fundamentals and technique classes. In this flow, we combined everything we've been working on. Every week, our flows always tie back to the main theme or skill we're teaching in those classes. As you can see, we always make sure to explain the "why" behind each move. That's really important, even when it comes to flows. I’ll be giving you guys the final version of the flow in real time as well as a breakdown soon.
