I recently started a new job and have only told two colleagues about the significant amount of weight I’ve lost over the past 3 months and my goal to step onstage for a bodybuilding show in May to show off my transformation in a dress. At a recent work event, I brought my own food and stayed on track, but those two colleagues kept pushing me to eat junk food and drink alcohol. They even seemed disappointed when I stuck to my plan and drank water instead.
I left feeling proud of myself, but I’m curious—why do you think people try to pull you away from your goals, even when they know how important it is to you? Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks!
