Workout Debrief
Workout debrief for Kai Workout 3. 3 things athlete thought they did well: 1. Keeping elbow aligned 2. Loaded Wrist 3. Good release even with heavy body twisting (during drill) 3 things athlete could do better: 1. One motion/Rhythm 2. Generating power/jumping all the way through 3. Fading out of the shot 3 things coach did well: 1. Let the reps continue to breathe 2. Kept explanations to the point and focused on work 3. Layered in where we have been with things and where we are going 3 thing coach could do better 1. Be more familiar with the exercise before presenting it to an athlete (I needed to either watch more or try out the punch turns myself to explain them better) 2. Continue to guide the athlete using guided questioning rather than just open ended questions 3. Know the angles of the camera better. I missed some of the shots because the camera set up wasn't great.

Name of Drill: Boomers Drill Description: - Booms, dips and strong follow through Drill Scoring Method: -How will you keep score in this drill utilizing gamification principles? - 1 point per make alternating sides Athlete Debrief -3 things to continue to improve upon: 1. My follow through 2. Getting my elbow up higher 3. Better tilt -3 things you (personally) thought you did well 1. Rotation on the ball 2. Dip was better 3. My form was good until I move out to 3 point shooting Coach Debrief -3 things to continue to improve upon as a coach: 1. Upon review of the film, I believe I may instruct too much. 2. To blend instruction into gamifying. 3. Integrate instruction with balance and space for athlete to self reflect without comment. -3 things you (personally) thought you did well as a coach 1. MAX 3 great: Stacked and Load, Dig feet focus, Load and Launch 3 opp: More reps, Wing feet focus, FT flow DAN 3 great: Explain the why for stacked and load, asked question and him, better at volume shot let reps breath 3 opp: need to let athlete respond when asking questions (give him more time) , first time doing or coaching punch turns (was not ready), keep getting reps myself for better demo
