Got the answers from my canceling client
On Wednesday's Q&A call, I mentioned I had a client abruptly cancel. It's the smallest client I've had in years at only $70/visit...and biweekly too. But when they send an email with "Canceling Services" in the subject line and say something like, "Effective immediately we will no longer need your services" and a demand of sorts to return the key by such and such day. Last complaint was about 6+ months ago and it wasn't terrible. And yes, it was nothing in terms of revenue. But they ghosted me for 5 full days. It ate at me to be honest. Well, they responded this morning finally. "We didn't need that much cleaning" was their reply. I can't offer less. Biweekly was a pain in the butt. But I agree with them...they were the perfect client. They bagged up their own trash. They left the cleaners $20 tip/visit. And for only 2 people in there, they didn't need us. It was a fun run these past few years.

@Kendra Watkins I donโ€™t know yet. I used to pass on small clients. I changed my policy when COVID hit. Might continue accepting for now. $25/visit gross profit. Free money in this example.

How would you price this??
https://docs.google.com/document/d/16GP55jdrpS_pO8bM8T9cENlF21rEhUz0p61mUqLdDvk/edit Letโ€™s do a test run of pricing. Iโ€™ll start with a real client, complete with pictures. Itโ€™s 12,000 sqft cleaned 6x/week. What would YOU price it at? Provide in an answer: 1. Your rate per month 2. Total estimated hours 3. Breakdown by percentages of labor, supplies, and gross profit. For example we typically aim for 65% labor, 2% supplies, and 33% gross profit.ย  Share publicly (or in private): Thanksgiving weekend Iโ€™ll share the rate.

Help!
Please tell me what you all would do if you were me. This is the 4th time I have sent them the proposal, and now they are stating there are terms that do not apply.. ๐Ÿง

Did they ask for changes each of those 4 times (or 3 times technically w/ the first being when you sent the proposal)?

@Kendra Watkins glad it went well.
Google and ranking
Great Q&A call. We went down a small rabbit hole around ranking, SEO, etc. Do you know about HubSpot Academy? It's feee and there's a wealth of information on all things inbound marketing. HubSpot provides a really valuable resource. I have only received certifications on a couple of courses, all free. None around Google specifically. But if looking to learn, I see they have one on your Optimization Score w/ Google. They have another I see on your Google Page. Then for SEO in general, they have a couple of dozen courses. Definitely worth a watch. https://academy.hubspot.com/?
