I used to believe the growth guru agenda… “Post 3x a day, comment 100x a day, send 20 DMs a day!” I wasted 6 months grinding doing this and made $0. It sucked. Great questions! Here’s the answers you have been looking for: The problem with growing an audience is that it takes YEARS not months to master. And even if you do master it, most creators with thousands of followers struggle to pay their bills… They didn’t learn how to monetize early on, and now all those months spent commenting and posting were wasted. Yesterday, beautiful reader of this letter “Ella“ sent me: -- My biggest roadblock is having the courage to put myself out there. I am afraid of the judgment online and from people who know me. It also seems like a lot of responsibility, but it is the path I have chosen. If you could talk about tips to overcome this, I would appreciate that very much! -- Instead of keeping this private... I thought: "Hey! Why not share my reply to all the other beautiful readers! (yes that's you ;))" So here we are. Let's start this off with a lil' story... 10+ years ago, lil' young Euan dreamed of being a YouTuber. But everytime he'd record something, he felt as if the voice was off, or the sentences weren't correct, or something along those lines. And that was a problem because he thought: "What if someone I know see's this and makes fun of me?" From that point on? It took me 8 years to start creating content. The only regret I have is not starting sooner hhaaha! You see... If you fear judgement from people who know you, you haven't yet realized that they simply won't see your content (unless you go mega viral, but at that point why would they make fun of you). AND if you fear judgement from rando's online? They're gonna die one day. You'll probably NEVER meet them in your life. There aren't as many "haters" as you might think online. But the biggest one of all... Who cares? You gotta realize that every single human on earth only pays attention to themselves. While you are thinking: "Oh... They might judge me" They are thinking: "Oh... They might judge me!" Do you see how pointless stressing about this all is? It leads to nowhere. Plus, creating content is the single most incredible thing you can do... EVER. Yes you'll fail a lot. Yes you'll get stressed a lot. Yes you'll wonder if it was the right call. WE ALL DO! But I literally can't put into words how incredible life becomes when you land on that thing you love so much, that you just wanna keep writing about it all day.

As a co-founder of this community, i feel the responsibility to let you in on a big secret: "The number of your followers has nothing to do with how much money or impact you make". With only 1400 followers i have gotten 7 clients and co-founded a +50 members paid community. Instead of over-fixating on vanity metrics and engagement, brands that make actual impact focus on 3 things: 1. Develop your skills The more skilled you become at one particular discipline, the easier it becomes to position yourself as an authority on it and attract clients. The more skills you acquire, the bigger problems you can solve and the more impact you can make. 2. Create your own systems There are literally a gazillion of people who have already achieved part of what you want to achieve. There is absolutely no need for you to re-invent the wheel. Find people that have achieved what you want to achieve and study their: - Content strategies - Promotions - Funnels Take notes of the things that inspire you and replicate them with your own touch. Don't straight up copy them though, because that's unethical and inefficient. 3. Develop your authority brick by brick I was amazed by how easily you can sign someone as a client if you can just prove to them that the transformation you are offering actually works. And how do you do that? 3 ways: - Gather testimonials from people you have helped for free - Create transformation case-studies from people you have helped more extensively - Be a FOUNTAIN of value through DMS and Calls and show genuine care. By focusing your conscious attention on developing your skills, creating your own systems and developing your authority, you enable yourself to reach the next level. You are now ready to zoom in on the type of person that could benefit the most from your skillset, attract them with targeted content and over-deliver on them to repay their trust. Building an audience can take years, and it also depends on many factors that are outside of your control (the algorithm, the current meta etc)
