How do you explain skool?
I get asked a lot “what’s skool” and I feel like I answer it different every time. Always explaining different things like “it’s kind of like a Facebook group but you get paid”. So I’m curious; How do you explain skool?

@Braydan Darger I like how you distinguished between learning and gaining new skills.
SELLING IN SKOOL
I wanted to make my sales process a lot smoother I have a solid Free Skool group, and I didn't want to send them off Skool to buy. So when Skool launched the buy courses feature I was stoked. I decided to use it for my upcoming challenge. People join the challenge then are up sold into VIP. The conversion on that is low. I don't want to keep pushing them back to a page that didn't convert them the first time, although not a bad idea, but inefficient. So last week I posted about having a super simple onboarding process in the classroom. I added in an upsell in that process and now the process is so simple! People read through the first few tasks, then read through the "sales page" for my VIP experience, then can buy right in Skool. I have all my LT courses in there to. So it's passive sales on stuff I've already created, with no fancy tech or headaches!

So is your VIP experience a different Skool group then? Or a one-time purchase?
Question- Biz structure with Skool
I know there are a few ways to structure the having a free Skool group, but then taking payment and delivering paid services using Skool. But I thought I'd ask y'all's opinion on the most straightforward for those of us who are very new and intimidated by all the different tools out there. I want a free group where community and support from one another is key. Do I: 1. Put the paid services into the free group, just giving access to paying customers who pay using stripe or other. The problem with that is that the services are daily zoom calls and although I know I can email them or dm them the link, I really like having it be just a click from the calendar. Having to go to their messages to retrieve the link is an extra step. Another problem is that my mrr isn't reported to Skool (not that the games really matter to me). Or 2. Have a free group and a paid group. Disadvantages to that are: paying customers would have to check two different places- the group with their paid services, and the group with the robust community sharing. I want them to get the value of community from paid and free members. Which just means they have two groups to check. For instance the group Skool and the group the Skool Games. It's annoying to me to check both. Also, I already struggle to have time to post good content, and having two groups, plus my Facebook group to post to feels like a lot for me rn. And finally, that the free group doesn't see the regular reminders of what would be accessible if they took my offer. I would market within the group, but it wouldn't be right there in front of their face all the time. I know there's other group platforms I can use like Kajabi (I don't know what the advantages or disadvantages of Skool are over Kajabi honestly). What do you guys do and what's the best way?

@Jenna Ostrye this was so, so helpful!! Thank you for making a video and showing me the little work arounds that I really needed to know in order to charge for services within my free community. Seriously, I'm actually really grateful.
New features I would love to see on Skool
1. I would love a "save" option on posts with a folders system to save posts in. This feature on other platforms is my favorite way to keep posts that are really relevant to me. 2. A search option within the group so that people can search using keywords. This would broaden the scope of sifting by category. Would these things be useful to you guys?

[FULL GUIDE] How To Grow Your Skool 📈
I have 650,000 YouTube subscribers, and 11,000 members in my Skool. Here's step by step how I’d grow my Skool if I had to start again: 1. Warm Outreach 2. 2-Step Post 3. $1.80 Strategy 4. Content // 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟏: 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 (𝟎 - 𝟏𝟎 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬) Do this 1st because it’s the fastest and easiest way to get your first members. Here’s a full guide from Hormozi on how to do it. ☐ 𝐴𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑝: Reach out to 10 people // 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟐: 𝟐-𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭 (𝟏𝟎 - 𝟓𝟎 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬) This is a simple strategy that leverages a loophole in social media algorithms to generate a tonne of attention even without thousands of followers. Do this 2nd because it only takes a few minutes, but can quickly grow your group (if done well). Here’s a full guide I wrote on how to do it. ☐ 𝐴𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑝: Make a 2-step post on all your socials // 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟑: $𝟏.𝟖𝟎 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 (𝟓𝟎 - 𝟓𝟎𝟎 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬) The $1.80 strategy is very effective at growing your group. This tactic got me my first 1,000 subscribers, made @Hamza Ahmed his first $1,000 online, and was the strategy @Goose Dunlavey and @Zain Miah used to win The Skool Games. It’s free, it works even if you have no audience, and it can be used on all of your favourite social sites (Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter, Reddit, and even Skool). Do this 3rd because it’s simple, you learn a lot, and it works almost all the time. It just requires work. ☐ 𝐴𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑝 1: Find 5 places online where your target audience spends their attention. It could be online communities, or influencers they follow. ☐ 𝐴𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑝 2: Join the communities, and follow those influencers on all their socials. Turn on notifications. ☐ 𝐴𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑝 3: Comment your 2 cents of value 90 times a day. That’s where the $1.80 comes from. Creating your own social posts relies on algorithms for reach. If you’re just getting started, it’s hard to make your content good enough to get attention. Start with comments.

I wish there was a way to save posts besides copying the link and saving it on a doc. This is gold. I will report back after I try all of these things.
