Why Do We Really Want to Be in Great Shape? 🧠💪
Have you ever wondered why so many of us crave being in peak physical shape? It goes beyond just looking good or fitting into clothes. It’s deeper. In a world where so much is within reach, through convenience, technology, and instant gratification, good health has become a rare and valuable treasure. Think about it.... Real, long-lasting health is hard to achieve and even harder to maintain. And that’s what makes it so valuable. There was a time when being in shape was simply part of survival. Now, in modern society, where comfort and ease are everywhere, being in great shape has become something outside the norm. It’s no longer a default, it’s a choice. And that choice reflects something powerful about you as a person. Striving for great health means you’re willing to push through discomfort, face challenges, and do what most people won’t. It’s a symbol of commitment, discipline, and self-respect. What’s truly valuable in life is rarely easy to get, and in a world full of shortcuts, achieving great health shows that you’re reaching for something more, something that requires hard work, effort, and consistency. What’s your deepest motivation for wanting to be in great shape? Is it beyond the physical? Share below! 💬⬇️ Also would appreciate if you drop a comment adn not just a vote on the poll :) - Erlus

Hey, my name's Falko, I'm 18 years old and I strive to become the best version of myself. My goals in Calisthenics are the full planche and the front lever and I'm ready for playing the long game! Right now I'm working on eating a healthier, more nutritious diet to get a more healthy skin and better life quality! I hope to meet some great people here! 😁

Do You Combine Different type of workouts?🤸‍♂️💪
Okay so in calisthneics i like to split up the strenght in 2 categories... 1. The Lightweight Tendon Strong... (This is the type who is very light weight and like a runner the muscles are small but super efficient letting you defy gravity like an alien...) 2.The Muscle Strong (This is usually for most people and the concept is that you wil rely on getting bigger muscles for higher output to defy gravity and be able to do the skills.) I am a nr 2 and how i liked to approcah this is with a mixture of weightlifting/bodybuilding (for the muscle size, then skills and weighted calisthenics for the strength... Weighted calisthenics can also help with size. Many people are at the beginning stage and think "i thought calisthenics was only bodyweight..." I also thought this at first and you can become really strong with only bodyweight and in great shape... The thing is when you start being able to do a lot of reps you will not get to stimulate the muscles enough with load to make them grow... this is why you start adding weight so you can do less reps but you will become stronger and bigger" I know some people are a bit against using weights for calisthenics so i'm curious to what you are using at the moment... I'm using a bit of everything😅🤝
