@Chris K collagen is worth a look! Type 2 ( multiple sources like marine, bovine and bone broth) particularly as it’s great for bones, joint cartilage and tendon health. We aren’t getting any younger 😂 A Good quality electrolyte for your hydration and energy (not your cans of nocco, monster or equivalent). A pinch of good quality salt (pink Himalayan, Celtic) goes a long way mixed in your water and is a good start and a lot cheaper and better for your gut health! 👍🏻

11 weeks post op (total rupture of my right quadricep) and Em and I were finally able to get back into the water this morning! I’ve had to wear a leg brace since the op which I’m finally out of hence me getting back to doing the fun stuff! My training has had to be adapted to suit too! The platform and recently added ladder to get in and out of the water makes this a great place to swim/dip so worth a visit if you are Taunton based!

1. Try to be consistent with eating habits, as Sunny has mentioned in a lot of his chats on various topics, make the changes small and manageable rather than an all out change which invariably you’ll be less likely to stick to reverting back to old habits as you’ll find the big changes too restrictive! Try not to treat good changes as a diet but more like a change in eating lifestyle! Eating good quality foods and cutting back on highly processed foods shouldn’t be seen as a diet! For the last couple of years I’ve had a more Pegan (paleo/vegan) approach to eating but I treat it with a 80/20 or 90/10 approach! I like a pizza, glass of wine, beer with mates etc etc and have found this approach has worked best for me! Balance has been key! 2. Social media is a mixed bag of often conflicting information about what and how you should approach your eating! Carnivore, vegan, Eatwell guide, food pyramid, what oils are good/bad, health implications and so on! Everyone has an opinion on what is best! Find what suits you and your no doubt busy lifestyle! I’d say keeping highly processed multi ingredient foods to a minimum and prioritise good fats, quality meats, fish , veggies and leafy greens and some fruits and berries as base to an eating approach and you can’t go too wrong! 80/20.

@Sunny Durman @Joanne Lech @Binny Snelling I’m no expert but I would agree with Sunny here and his comment on delving that little bit deeper as to why you bloat and get that sensation most of the time! Your gut biome if slightly off balance can trigger no amount of problems and most issues can be rectified by good management of said biome! I don’t know your eating habits or lifestyle, work commitments per se but I have no doubt you are busy people(Binny I know you’re busy as we know each other) ! Food groups, stresses in life, inflammation etc all contribute to various issues within the gut! Again as Sunny alludes it may be that you have to reset, cut all but the basics out and then slowly reintroduce food groups and see what or how it affects you! Yes it’s 10 to 12 weeks of hard commitment but it may give a multitude of answers. A good book to read or listen too is Eat fat get thin by Dr Mark Hyman! In there he has a program you can follow to do a reset! I’m sure other sources are available for this type of approach though! 👍🏻
