Still getting charged $1 per month in Caliversity - Solution
Greetings everyone! We received a message from a Caliversity Athlete some days back that he was still getting charged $1 a month in our Skool community. This happened because we initially priced the entrance fee for Caliversity at $1/month to keep out bots and scams but we realised that a majority of our target audience are students who do not have access to debit cards and hence our decision to make it free. Skool is a relatively new platform and we learnt recently that when audience A joins at a set price per month and this set price is changed for new audience B, audience A continues to pay the same set price for the rest of their subscription. This isn't fair for any one of audience A, who are paying $1 a month whereas others are getting access for free. However, the price setting in Skool does not allow us to adjust the subscriptions of audience A to what audience B is paying(free). Under such circumstances, we've managed to find a way to make it as fair as possible for audience A. Instead of the original price setting of $1 per month, we adjusted it to $1 per year. While audience A is still being charged $1 each year, we managed to dial it down from a potential $12 annually. We are still looking for a complete solution to this problem and we hope that Skool offers us new possibilities out of this obstacle but in the meantime, we hope that the first few joiners(audience A) understands the full context of this problem. If you know a fixed solution to this issue, do comment down below. Cheers! - Daemon and Cheng Wee
