Expectation vs reality
Rarely in life do we have a successful launch and smooth trip to our destination. It is more like a game of snakes and ladders. There might be huge gains and we might take some massive hits. The secret is to keep the eye on the prize. I don't care if I take 3 steps forward then 1 step backwards. If I repeat that 100 times I'm 200 steps closer to my goal even after taking 100 hits.

👋 Hey, my name is Scott Millward most people call me Hooter. I Have lived in Melbourne for 21 years, I grew up around Ipswich & Toowoomba with no real purpose or direction in life. I am a single dad of 4, the eldest is doing his own thing in QLD and the younger 3 live with me full time. I want to get these 3 things from the community: 1. Mindset - I've done mindset in the past and am currently doing it as part of a fight club challenge for men. I'm a big believer opening up the mind to more than one source of information. 2. Camaraderie - celebrating the wins of others, having them celebrate mine. Feeding on the energy of others while putting our positive energy of my own for others. 3. Fitness - I've come a long way this year.earlier in the year I was around 165kg and started my first fightclub. I ended up at 154kg at the end of the 10 weeks (Easter was a major stalling point). I've trained on since then and I'm currently at 140kg. Doing boxing training 3 days a week and hitting the gym doing weights 5 mornings a week. I've been laid up the past 5 days nursing bruised ribs from training. I got cleared if a fracture a couple of hours ago. For fun I like to do these 3 things: 1. Horse racing is my passion. It goes far beyond gambling. The challenge of studying the form and beating the odds is fulfilling but the love of the animal goes far beyond that. I'll often hang out with retired horses at living legends. I can watch every Victorian race over a week and not have a bet. 2. Camping - I love getting away from the concrete jungle, getting my bare feet I to the ground, no mobile reception and just switching off. 3. Cars - any spare time I get I spend rebuilding an old 1966 HR. Pics are of me at my heaviest and me 2 weeks ago.

@Marty Cornish my diet is poor man. I'm trying to out work my diet. Its tough going. Calories in are so much easier than calories out. I'm looking into 16:8 fasting to see if that might be right for me.

@Michael Katsidis I used to go to the gowrie road for a punt and feed before work at beefcity back in the day. I remember seeing you and Stathi there. Lucky they didn't have camera phones back then I would've been a fan boy 😅
You can become the person you're proud of.
The photo on the left was taken about two years ago. At that time, I was running a multi-million dollar company but wasn’t happy. I was binge drinking most weekends, wasting time in the wrong relationships, and seeking validation. The photo on the right is me today. I haven’t had a drink in 144 days. My diet has improved (still not perfect), and I feel happier, more focused, purpose-driven, and confident. Plus, I’m sticking to my maintenance program—haha! I still have work to do, and that’s the beauty of self-actualization: constantly working towards a goal that brings out your best. Sometimes, success isn’t just about what we need to do; it’s also about what we need to STOP doing. Write down a list of what you need to STOP doing.

Smashing it!!
Hello
Hey everyone thanks for introducing yourselves. I’m looking forward to building this community of like minded people be it those that just want to better themselves and find their best or to get better at boxing. I’m here to help offer my assistance in anyway. Everything I’ve gone through in life, good and bad and my boxing accomplishments means I have a lot to offer. Don’t be afraid to ask anything. MK

Those life lessons, as hard as they are to learn, are invaluable. Education doesn't equal intelligence. Learning life's lessons is real intelligence.
