I’ve been sick lately 🤮
I’ve been hit and miss with a flu I got from someone I train with. It was a real deceiving bug but it stays with you about two weeks. It isn’t Covid. I’m told it’s worse to have. Long end of the short I’ve been bed ridden for 3 days. I was thinking, ‘What am I going to do’, I have so much on etc etc then a lesson came to mind from an AA meeting, “the ability to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can and the wisdom to know the difference”. At that moment, sick and in pain I had an overwhelming feeling of gratitude. So thankful that I’ve been through all the difficult times in life. I sat back went into cruise control didn’t speak to anyone for 3 days. HAHA I realised the whole time I’ve had all the answers I needed to know here inside my wind head. Sometimes we need that guide or that nudge, and when you are there and you’ve got this. There is no price you can put on the mindset. Maybe I would not of found that path had I not ran into Marty. Maybe I wouldn’t have remembered an insight had I not been in this group. What’s mean to be will be. Glad to be on this road and the way all has turned out and more thankful I’m at the tail end of this flu 🙏

Your Mind Is Like A Puppy. If You Don't Train It, it Will Sh*T Everywhere 🐶💩.
What is mental fitness, and why is it crucial for building a bulletproof mindset? Mental fitness is the foundation of everything we do. When we neglect our mental health, we become more vulnerable to stress, anxiety, and negative thinking. However, when we actively train our minds, we cultivate resilience, confidence, and power. Think of mental fitness like physical fitness: if you want to get stronger, you hit the gym. To build mental strength, you must put in the work on your mind. Ready to get mentally fit? Dropping weight, my journey, being accountable
Hey legends!!! To make me accountable I thought I’d log my journey here to keep me strong and maybe motivate others. I’ll am trying my best to be as accurate as possible with logging food, and cal burned. All activities are from my Garmin watch (I do allot of online cycling Zwift and racing outside). My target weight is around 75-76kg. So day 1 weight was 81.1, and I started pretty aggressively I must admit and dropped 0.9 in 24h, definitely don’t expect that everyday 😜 might be mostly fluid. I had dental surgery on Saturday and could only eat soft food, I wanted a strong start so I made it happen. I also watched a few motivational videos from Marty which kept me 💪. I know days I may let myself down and go the wrong direction but it can be a roller coaster, and that is ok. Yesterday went perfectly, work days can be harder. But it is the overall habit change in life that really makes the difference.

Being Accountable
We all want to be stronger minded, and it is always easy to want to be more, try harder, be better than what we have been. Personally I find it easy to give up on myself, but I have found the key is to make myself accountable to my actions. By this I mean tell others about what I’m doing, what you want to do is a life change and investment in yourself. So the more commitment you put in the more likely you will stick to it and change. It could be financial commitment, friends/family commitment, but it makes you accountable to that goal. We can think it is ok to let ourselves down, but letting you partner, son, daughter or whoever down so something different we are always stronger for others than we are for ourselves. The more we commit to be stronger for them and ourself, plus the investment the more likely we will hit those targets. Feel free to post in here your goals, what you want to change and make us apart of helping you be accountable and encourage each other to be better. I’ll be posting my goal in here and keep the post updated with how I’m going and my process. I’m hopeful this will keep me on track for that bulletproof mindset 🧠💪

Box Breathing—The Navy SEAL Technique for Managing Stress
🧠 The Navy SEALs use this powerful box breathing technique to stay calm and focused, even in extreme levels of stress. Inspired by their training, I’ve found this approach invaluable in my own life. 🧑‍🏫 As a CEO, one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of regulating my emotions during high-intensity situations. 😩Whether it’s a big meeting, a tough decision, or a high-stakes project, staying grounded is everything. 🧘‍♂️ How to Practice Box Breathing: - Step 1: Breathe in slowly, counting to four. Feel the air fill your lungs. - Step 2: Hold your breath for four seconds, avoiding any inhaling or exhaling. - Step 3: Slowly exhale through your mouth for four seconds. - Step 4: Repeat this cycle until you feel re-centered. ⏰ Try this for five minutes whenever you’re feeling stressed. This Navy SEAL technique activates your body’s relaxation response, helping to: - Reduce stress hormones - Enhance emotional control - Sharpen focus It lets you concentrate on what you need to do, instead of letting anxious thoughts take over. 💨 Breathwork is simple, effective, and practiced by elite performers around the world. This is a skill: if you train it, you can turn nerves into energy you can control.
