Habit
My habit is being an emotionally eater! When I feel overwhelmed and stressed I feel I like failed but I know it’s just a trick of the enemy. That’s when I want a coke or chips I love chips, I’m really not a soda drinker. I have gotten better with not buying them so I won’t be tempted to eat when I’m emotionally stressed out. Yesterday I did have two slices of pizza my goal was to have kale salad with chicken. That’s all I ate and drink my water. I had a lot going on yesterday my son was sick and afterwards I had to take my husband to urgent care after work because of chest pain and then he was transported to the hospital. Today is a new and it’s okay!

3 Mile Walk
I’m just realizing there’s a Tab for workouts. So Monday through today I have been completing 3 mile's each day and just about 13 flights of stairs as well as 50 pushups, the pushups are modified. I utilize the office staircase to tone my thighs and calf’s. It’s funny because about 7 years ago my colleague would come and get me in the morning and at lunchtime to go up and down the stairs 3 times and I would complain but look at me now! She definitely sowed a seed into me and prepare for this. Are building has 5 floors. It’s so ironic I went to Goodwill about a month ago with my daughter and I came across a 10lb dumbbell and I purchased it, I never knew I would be using it to complete my pull ups and squats at home! What a great investment I made. For some reason I enjoy working out at the gym more than at home, but with me working 4 day back in office I have to utilize my home. I am proud of myself.

Congratulations on the workouts
You can’t outrun your fork
I’ve always been active, working out wasn’t the problem. I was in the gym 4-5x a week, I ran in mud runs, did 5ks, 8ks and a half marathon. I’d lose a little here and there, it always came back. The shift for me happened when I started incorporating changing my nutrition along with intentional healthy movement. It definitely required a shift in habits across the board. Learning to manage my stress in healthier ways instead leaning towards wine and pizza was must for stopping the cycle of losing a few lbs and gaining it back. Nutrition is a key component no matter what it is your goals are. Fuel your body so it can do the things you want it to do.

You are right. My fork is my enemy most times.
Hi! My name is...
Hi, my name is Katie. I'm a 37 year old mom of two, teacher and trainer. I started my journey 7 years ago and am down 100lbs. My biggest obstacle is my nutrition. I burn the candle from 3am to 10pm most days, so eating well in between my obligations is difficult. But I know I can do it 💪🏻
