I get talked into things too easily!
So….I was talking to one of the guys at the gym earlier about the daily 300 lunge challenge… He pointed out that with the extra i did on the 31st August, by the end of the month I would’ve done 9300 lunges so I might as well do a bit extra every day to bump it up to 10,000… how can I say no to that? LOL So here’s my own little record of the extra ones so I can keep track – 4th - 50:700 done ✅💪 vid 1 5th - 100:700 done ✅vid 2 5th - 10 in kick boxing - 110:700 7th - 60 while cooking tea 170:700 9th - 50 done ✅ vid 3 220:700 10th - 160 done ✅ vid 4 380:700 P.s - yes I’m an idiot 😭🔫 BUT if I want to say I’ve done 10000 in sept, I’m going to have to do a few more 😭😭 10th sept - decided going for 10000 total in sept - 380:1000 done ✅ 11th - 100 done ✅ while cooking tea 480:1000 12th - 30 in kick boxing ✅ 510:1000 14th - 120 done ✅ 630:1000 17th - 200 done ✅ 830:1000 21st - 120 done ✅ 950:1000

Another 120 added - 20 between sets is both genius & horrendous - especially on the leggy parts 🥵🥵 total 630:1000 - way over 1:2 way 😁

Day 21 - 300 lunges - done ✅ Really, really not feeling it today, tired & achy back - by time I was finished I was nearly warmed up 🤪🤪 20 lunges between sets - mix of singles, alternating & pendulum. 40 lunges to start then - 4 sets leg press (80 lunges total) 2 sets deads (40 lunges total) 4 sets bench (80 lunges total) 6 sets curls (120 lunges total) Plus 60 bonus ones 😭 420 lunges all in, so I can add 120 to my extras tally 😁😁

Day 20 done ✅ Thursday night = late night so tired today but got it done & out of the way 😁 Usual mix of all the lunges 🦵🦵

Day 19 - 300 lunges - done ✅ It’s Thursday so not up ridiculously early, so, for a change, went for a short walk while it was still dark & thinking no one would see me - turns out there are lots of early dog walkers around here 😭😭 but I got them done 🦵💪 Did a few full range ones on naughty foot - can feel it now but as long as it eases off while I have breakfast then it’s all good 🤞

Distance or elevation or both?
Right, next 1/2 is in less than 4 weeks, 3 weekends = 3 long runs - do I concentrate on distance or elevation? Blackdowns had 1700ft elevation, Quantocks as 1000 more at 2700 ish ft - obviously I had a plan…..it involved running that elevation & hitting 13.1+ miles during august but naughty foot stopped that - now I have limited time & I don’t know what’s best to do - try to hit elevation and worry less about the distance, do the reverse & concentrate on hitting miles or try to make sure all 3 long runs are hilly & 1/2 marathon distance - problem is, I know that i will be shattered if I tick all the boxes, ot will be a shock to the body as not built up - it might do more harm than good 😕 - there’s just not enough time now to train properly - @Sunny Durman what do you think? Unless I try hilly shorter runs during the week (8 ish miles) and moderately hilly long run on the weekend 🤷‍♀️

My son had a cold before the weekend, my daughter started complaining of an itchy throat last night……I’ve just started feeling bunged up - maybe it’s cos I’m about to come down with a cold 🤔 here comes winter!

Another short one but with a friend & his dog 😁 not done a lot around Cothelstone but I was so tired, it was good to get out - timed it perfectly as it started to get quite cold with the sun going down!
