@Karl Roussel Thanks mate. Yes I have done boxing on and off my whole life since I was 11, plus other martial arts. Don't really have any secrets (Thats a @Michael Katsidis question).... start with boxing as it lays a very good foundation to be able to progress into other styles if you choose to.

The power of Consistency & persistence!
❗If you had told me three years ago I would run a Marathon in under three hours, and qualify for Boston I wouldn't have believed you! 🏃Here is a breakdown of my first three marathons and my most recent one: 🇺🇸 The LA Marathon 2020 - Over four hours! 4:01 ☀️ Sunshine Coast Marathon 2021 - 3:25:06 🇦🇺Gold Coast Marathon 2022 - 3:01.08 🇦🇺 Gold Coast Marathon 2023 - 2:58 ⏰ It took me over three years, 1000 and 1000's of km haha - but one thing I've learned from running is the power of consistency! ⚡ If you want to become better at most things in life, you've got to be willing to be consistent. 🚫 You can't give up when things get tough.

Build The Person You Admire
I want to share some direct advice, and I ask you to keep in mind that there was a time when I looked in the mirror and didn’t like what I saw. I've been through some very low points in my life and self-medicated for years, so I’m not coming from a place of judgment. I'm sharing what has worked for me.You will never be truly happy in life until you love yourself and heal yourself. When you love yourself, you set standards for what you’re willing to tolerate, and you won’t disrespect yourself Here’s the process: - Drop Vices: Eliminate drugs and alcohol from your life. - Get Your Nutrition Right: Start tracking your macros to ensure you’re in a calorie deficit, allowing you to cut those stubborn pounds. - Workout Daily: Make physical activity a non-negotiable part of your routine. - Read Daily: Commit to reading 10 pages a day from a self-help book about someone who inspires you. If you’re struggling with confidence, find a book focused on building confidence. Once you cut out drugs and alcohol, you’ll gain clarity and experience all the other benefits that come with it. When you get your nutrition on point, you’ll start feeling and looking better, which boosts your confidence. Working out not only improves your physical appearance but also elevates your mood. And when you read, you’re growing and feeding your mind wisdom. Everything I’ve mentioned above is 100% in your control. Be great and ask any questions in the comments. Marty

That's some gold right there @Marty Cornish . the hardest thing to do is take that very first step because of the fear of not being able to let go of something/s that hides everything and or masks the pain and not knowing what comes after. Just gotta do it hey. So much better when you can see and think clearly. And then of course the challenge from there is maintaining it. Probably one of the biggest factors is choose your circle wisely. Personally, I refuse to have anything to do with anyone involved in anything untoward etc. Learnt my lesson too many times, but what I learnt the most was, make better choices and don't invest any time in any person who is involved in that world, because without the drugs or the booze etc, they seriously wouldn't even look twice at you on the street, they would cross the road and walk away fixated on some side quest to get their next fix.

Strength in sharing - We’re in this together
“Hey everyone, I want to take a moment to remind you all that this space is here for you—no matter what you’re going through. We all face challenges in life, and sometimes it feels easier to carry the weight alone. But trust me, speaking up and sharing what’s on your mind can be incredibly freeing. For those who don’t know my story, I’ve faced a lot of struggles myself—losing my brother, battling addiction, and even ending up in jail. It was only when I opened up and sought support that I began to heal and rebuild. And I’m still on that journey today. This community isn’t just for me—it’s for all of us. By sharing your thoughts, challenges, or victories, you’re not only helping yourself but you’re also helping others who might be feeling the same way. No matter your age, background, or career, you’re welcome here. You’re not alone. Opening up doesn’t make you weak—it makes you strong. And it could be the first step towards a better, healthier you. I’m here for you, and so is this community. Let’s grow together.”
