So this is something I stumbled across today by listening to a podcast. I think it's pure genius for marketing. https://www.scoreapp.com/ You create a mini quiz called a scorecard (I did a retirement quiz). People complete the quiz (signaling they are interested in retirement). You receive an email of a new lead. ***Really*** Targeted Marketing
I’m almost afraid to ask this question but here goes: I recently on-boarded and began a relationship with a client family. It was somebody I had done business with in the past, in a different industry. He had his HoldCo assets at one of the Big 6 Canadian Banks and was receiving no service whatsoever: in his 5+ years there his on-file advisor had never so much as emailed or called him. Fast forward to last week and all the money had been transferred. I’m working on his file - without being specific, trying to create value. He calls me up and mentions that he finally got a call from the bank advisor, talking about coming in to discuss retirement planning (as if there is a certain time to just start talking). I believe what irked my client wasn’t that he finally called, but that he wasn’t even aware that the assets weee transferred out. From my experience, this is more normal than it should be - people at the big banks just do not get much in the way of service. Whether you want to blame the advisor or not is up to you - I believe they’re just overloaded. Of course it got me thinking “how could I stick a vacuum like hose into this practice and bring over the clients who want more”? It was the wrong question - the better one is “how do we directly target people in that exact situation”? Does anybody have any tips on how to directly market to the underserved bank clients? Any tips or info greatly appreciated.

Call them out in your marketing efforts. Maybe something along the lines of "Tired of being just another number in a queue, I help underserved bank clients achieve their financial goals"

Focused Prospecting Times - email script included
Prospecting is a consistency game, ↳ and for Advisors nothing is more important. Does this sound familiar? You start the week with great intentions, but then: → emails come in → admin issues pop up → shiny object distracts you and the week is over without one new lead. SOLUTION: Block prospecting time in your calendar. → make it sacred → ZERO distractions → protect it at all costs Clients care about themselves, and your messaging has to reflect that. Here are the basics of a good outreach email: 1. Show you know what they’re worried about 2. Use an actual client win 3. Provide the solution 4. Call to action SAMPLE EMAIL: [Subject Line] This might interest you. "Hey (name), I was working with one of my client’s Steve this week. He was concerned about being able to retire in 3 years. After showing him several solutions, he was surprised to see that retiring in 3 years was achievable. Even earlier if he wants to. I’d love to show you some solutions that would work for you. Worth a 15-minute chat?"
