First European Champs
Since we got a lot of IM-ers in the MindGym I thought I share another one from the summer. This was a pressure cooker!!! @Gartmann Gartmann had trained well all season but this summer was going to be different: He qualified for the 2024 Summer European Championships in Belgrade. That was a big breakthrough for Gian-Luca Gartmann. And at the same time... It seemed scary. As the big race got closer, doubt and insecurity crept in... We mostly worked on his breathing, not freaking out during taper when something didn't go as planned, and visualization. He then went to Belgrade and crushed it at his first Euro Champs. So happy for him and he continues to perform great. Regional Championships first weekend
Big PB on the 2 fly 1,10 away from nationals time cut. And a small one on the 2 IM. Exited for next weekend, 50 fly, 4 IM and 100 fly

sprint meet
this morning I took part in a sprint meet containing only 50s and also 200m IM. I'm not much of a sprinter I specialise in 200s and 400s so I rarely swim 50s. 200m IM - first time doing it πŸ₯‰ 50m fly - 4 sec pb 50m free +1 sec i felt so dissapointef after this one bc it was the one I felt most excited and ready for as it's been going so well in training I felt so down after not because of the time but because of how I felt when I swam it I didn't think I gave it my all 50m back - 0.4 sec pb my backstroke has kind of paused recently I seem to be stuck at similar times and I slipped on the start πŸ˜‚ 50m breast - 2 sec pb seeing as I was quite tired I was quite happy with that time I also was too close on my turn overall I definitely feel like it wasn't my best meet. even tho I got pbs it's just the way I felt during some of the races after the 50 free I was too hard on myself and let it affect my other races I definitely need to learn to overcome that so it doesn't affect the rest of my performance. I need to understand that my performances are going to fluctuate and I'm going to have bad days and good days. today happened to be a bad day which my competition fell onto. I wanted to share so that everyone can understand there's not always going to be good days during comps and u can't be to hard on urself

just finished a weekend competition! Day 1 100m back 2 sec pb 100m IM 14 sec pb 100m breast πŸ₯ˆ16 sec pb Day 2 200m breast πŸ₯ˆ10 sec pb 200m back first time doing it overall very good for a first comp of the season and I'm only 4 sec off my overall December goal I set in both breaststrokes!
