Introducing
Hello πŸ‘‹πŸ» for David and other members. I'm Aleksa 23yo swimmer. I'm planning to be a coach or a sports psychologist bcs so interested in human body and mind. I'm national record holder in 100/200m breastroke in Montenegro πŸ‡²πŸ‡ͺ and I was a member of the national team. In the age of corona, I suddenly stopped with new records, both personal and national, I love swimming, but when I appear at the edge of the pool, I have anxiety, coldness, tiredness and it's even worse at competitions. I'm working on it through new routines but need some time. I hope u are doing well and fighting the demonsπŸ”₯

Love your discussion! Sounds interessting. I loved to read about the different personality types a lot. But in the end I agree with David. It's to much looking into what I am and to easy to stop looking for what/who I could be and grow into. I tell my daughter that she can achieve what ever she wants. So maybe about swimming, @Aleksa R you should Focus more on the positive. Focus on what you would love to achieve and maybe visualize you swimming the way you would like to have it. That might help to get over fear.
Wanting to get back to club
I was kicked out of a swimming club for not wanting to do mornings. But then I went to a schools gala and got a 1:05 for 100 free and I have not been swimming for like 2 years. I also got a bronze medal in the relay with a 50m free time of 28:07 should I and how should I get back into the club wanting to do mornings now.

Why should you not go back? If you really want to swim competitions and get better times, you will find a way to get back in the club.
Anxiety
I came across the YT reel and I'm interested in what are "the 5 steps to stop pre-race anxiety", I'm sure i missed that bcs i was not active ..((

Go to classroom, here you can find all the life sessions David gave and watch through them. Maybe you find what you are looking for. I think, all hints are contained there.

Drowning in Nerves Before Big Races? The "Magic Trick" 🎩 to Be Confident
[Register for the Body Language live training here, comment πŸš€ if you also want the recording] That sick feeling in your stomach before a big race? The trembling hands? The doubt creeping in? We get it. Competitive swimming is brutal. You train for hours, push your body to the limit, and then... your mind betrays you. But what if there was a "magic trick" to instantly boost your confidence? Something so simple, everyone can do it? Imagine this: - Walking tall onto the deck, head high, a smile on your face. Suddenly, you feel a surge of power. Competitors notice. They feel it too. - Standing strong in the call room, shoulders back, owning your space. The nerves melt away. You're in control. - Behind the blocks, meeting the crowd's gaze with a fire in your eyes. Breathing deep, chest out, ready to unleash. Doubt? Gone. This isn't magic, but if you've never done it... It feels like it. It's about changing your confidence with body language in 3 seconds. That's all it takes. It's the secret weapon you didn't know you had. Without this training? - Nerves could sabotage your performance. - You might give your competitors a psychological edge. - You could miss out on this simple, powerful tool. Join me and: - Learn the "magic trick" of confident body language, even when you're freaking out. - Use your posture, gaze, every move to command focus. - Walk onto that deck feeling like an Olympian. This is even easier than Conscious Breathing. πŸ‘‰ Register for the Body Language live training here
