40 kg pullup PR
Imma get straight to the point. I pulled 40kgs for 1 rep for the first time. I don't know what to say the chin went over the bar very slightly I couldn't even feel it. You guys decide if it counts or not. I'm doing it next week just in case y'all feel like it doesn't count. Does it count?

Introduction
Hi guys I'm Tom, 23 years old. I just basically want to master the most important skills such as the front lever or the planche. In order to reach my peak physic with calisthenics, and master the skills.

Hello, brother your most welcome here. Whats your inspiration to start your calisthenics journey. Let's get it brother 💪💪
Do You Combine Different type of workouts?🤸‍♂️💪
Okay so in calisthneics i like to split up the strenght in 2 categories... 1. The Lightweight Tendon Strong... (This is the type who is very light weight and like a runner the muscles are small but super efficient letting you defy gravity like an alien...) 2.The Muscle Strong (This is usually for most people and the concept is that you wil rely on getting bigger muscles for higher output to defy gravity and be able to do the skills.) I am a nr 2 and how i liked to approcah this is with a mixture of weightlifting/bodybuilding (for the muscle size, then skills and weighted calisthenics for the strength... Weighted calisthenics can also help with size. Many people are at the beginning stage and think "i thought calisthenics was only bodyweight..." I also thought this at first and you can become really strong with only bodyweight and in great shape... The thing is when you start being able to do a lot of reps you will not get to stimulate the muscles enough with load to make them grow... this is why you start adding weight so you can do less reps but you will become stronger and bigger" I know some people are a bit against using weights for calisthenics so i'm curious to what you are using at the moment... I'm using a bit of everything😅🤝

I honestly like to use mostly everything the gym has to offer me. Sometimes when I'm injured (like right now) I use other machines to hit the targeted muscle group.
Do You Train at the Gym or at Home? 🏋️‍♂️🏠
People are different, some like to lift at home and others like working out in the gym... There are different benefits with both and i figured i'd make a post to see what yall like to do... here are some benefits with both: Training at the Gym:🏋️‍♂️ Training at a the gym gives an atmosphere where you can feel the energy of people bettering themselves... It gives you energy and motivation to do the work. Gyms have a lot of equipment that might be too expensive or impractical to have in your house. People can be helpful for your learning experience and give tips. Training at home:🏠 Its really convenient that you can workout at any time you want, or atleast its less friction to plan out when to have the workout. Also less friction when you dont have to travel somewhere... Also a bit more Privacy and you don't have to wait for equipment. I think the best choice is the one you can keep consistent with. and what fits your ifestyle... Both has its own sense of friction and benefits... it may be easier to get in the homegym but if you are not structured it can also be easier to quit, on the other hand if you bring yourself to the gym and you see others working out might be harder to get there but easier to not quit and keep going... I'm interest in where you like to workout... At home, in the gym or both? For me i actually train mosly at home but the gym has a nice atmosphere that i also like :)

I myself like to workout both alone and with others. They both have their own benefits. When working out in gym, you get more social and motivation when surrounded by like minded people. Also you're spending money for gym, so that makes it easier to get the value out of it. I workout alone when im training for skills and just stretching out. I personally feel you get a better workout at home than gym because you're only goal is to finish the workout, whereas at gym, you have a lot of distractions, sometimes you end up talking in between your sets and disrupt your workout

Hanstand pushups, and 8 muscle ups in a row. Weighted pullups 40 kilos for 5 reps ( I can pull 25 kilos for 7 reps) . And hopefully get fully recovered from the collar bone injury.
