Waiting for post run hunger to strike
last 1/2 marathon race I couldn’t eat properly for 2 days - I am almost certain I was just dehydrated & stomach couldn’t tolerate food.
I’ve learnt from that & yesterday I drank over a litre while running (yes this resulted in a nature wee - lucky I was on my own for a lot of it!) had a recovery shake about an hour after (when I was home, just in case it sent me running for the loo) then left it another hour before trying solid food (jacket potato) and stomach seems fine - hurrah!
Had kick boxing last night - legs were fine, just a tired body.
Booked the lab off as hol today so up at 5 instead of 3 - did the 300 lunges (that was a battle of wills with myself - legs feel normal, it’s my body that’s tired) - just forcing food into me now - really not hungry this morning but I will be leaving soon & wont be home until gone 5 so I HAVE to eat - not trusting the not feeling hungry - waiting to feel ravenous at some point once my body recovers - it’s still doing the making me flushed/feel really hot thing which it likes to do when I’m over tired 🤬 today is going to be fun….not - feeling that coffee will feature highly!
