My win this week is that I have been moving everyday, despite a health challenge that would normally keep me down. I moved slowly, but still moved. Also, digging deeper into my “why” for starting this journey with the herd.

Went for a run by MYSELF
I just want to share that I’ve always kind of loathed running but I did it out of feeling I HAD to. I joined a running group because I could never get out there and push myself so knowing people were expecting me got me off my butt. Well…yesterday I went and ran Lake Needwood after I dropped my son at school by myself and I forced myself to not walk any hills. I was slow but I practiced a lot of positive self talk rather than negatively criticizing my speed or breathing etc. it felt like a win for me.

Shifting the Mindset
1. While family, friends and foes can limit your ability to better yourself and progress, the main person holding you back is often yourself. 2. We must analyze things from different perspectives in order to identify the true problem and desired end goals. Part of changing our mindset is rephrasing our thoughts to focus on the positive and engaging in affirmations. 3. You don't go anywhere by doing nothing and cherish people that are there to celebrate your successful moments. - I get to meal prep to save myself time, eliminate the stress of figuring out what to eat, which often results in bad nutritional choices. - I get to workout and strengthen weakened areas so that I can reach my desired fitness goals. - I get to take time out from my busy day to focus on myself and ensure that I am working towards MY happiness also.
